Voces Veritatis presents this lecture series on the English martyrs to deepen our love for these holy men and women who stood manfully when the civil power sought to be all in all. They worked to build Jerusalem on England’s land, and in imitation of Christ they hallowed that city with their blood, and sanctified it to God. In an age when, again, the state seeks to bring all power into itself, we study the lives of these saints, that they may teach us uncompromising courage, devotion, and joy.
