Four Steps for Success on Practicum One:
1. Underline important sentences, phrases, and words, while attempting to grasp the content and structure of Hamilton’s argument.
2. Find the single sentence in Hamilton’s chapter that makes the best claim of representing and functioning as her thesis judgment.
3. Write a sentence of your own in which you use your own words to characterize the relationship between the thesis sentence you’ve just quoted and Hamilton’s argument as a whole.
4. Write a full paragraph in which you describe and characterize the different parts, the different aspects, or facets of the sentence you’ve just written.
These steps above can easily be found int he practicum assignment, but I have listed them here to assist those who did not clearly see these steps.
